Rosetta Stone Information

Rosetta Stone Online enrollment will occur at the beginning of the school year, and as needed throughout the school year. Licenses run from start date through the end of July.

Price is approximately $125 for the school year and are not pro-rated for late signups. If interested, please email your ES to sign you up. Your ES will need the following information to request a license:

  • Student Name
  • School
  • Language Desired
  • New to Rosetta Stone, Continuing from last year, or Continuing but changing to a new language.

When your license is activated, your ES will receive the website link and user name/password combination. They will forward this to your email address. The usual user name will be last name first initial, i.e. jonesm for Mary Jones. If your student has more than one license, the user names will reflect the language, i.e. jonesmS for Spanish & jonesmF for French. If there is another student with the same user name, there will be added letters on the first name until the system recognizes a unique user name. The password for all students is rosetta.

Our Rosetta Stone site: This site is unique to our school and can't be reached through rosettastone.com. This site is for all CWCS schools. Also, many public libraries offer free access to a version of Rosetta Stone using your library card. This is suitable for TK-8 students not seeking High School credit. Your ES will not have oversight access and our Rosetta Stone Coordinator will not be able to make any changes to your account if you use the free site.

a-g High School credit: High School Students must also access an EE in the language learned to earn a-g credit.

Reports: Students can create reports from their log-in page.

Log in to Rosetta Stone.

Click on "My Reports" instead of "Launch Rosetta Stone Lessons" and choose the dates needed.

Choose "Create PDF". Reports will be downloaded to the desktop and students can email them directly to the ES or EE. The report can be sent as a portfolio sample.

Rosetta Stone workbook downloads are available through your ES. Workbooks are available in 5 languages only (English, French, German, Latin, Latin American Spanish)

Rosetta Stone is now available for use on many mobile devices. Note that the mobile application does not include the Writing and Milestone activities. You will need to do those activities on a regular computer/laptop. Your progress automatically syncs so you can learn and practice on your own terms, even when you're away from your computer.
