Modesto Afternoon Focus Group

Assessment and Accountability
Focus Meeting
December 15, 2004

Tonight’s agenda is to review the draft on assessment and accountability. We are to make corrections.
In the margins write down any additions. The grammar, formatting, and spelling checks may be made but are not necessary.

Have basic rubrics been developed?

Yes, they are talking about the math sample we did a few months ago. We used them last fall and we all brought math samples. We explained what grade they did and showed if they were satisfactory and making progress. It was a three point rubric.

Other Questions?

The first comma should not be there. It should read, “Connecting Waters Charter School, Educational Specialists (CWCS). . .” From then on I would not explain it.
Do you think educational specialist should be capitalized? We use it as an abbreviation.
They have Connecting Waters Charter School and should use (CWCS). These are excellent suggestions. There needs to be 2-line spaces between paragraphs.
