Focus Meeting
January 20, 2005
We are going to look over and make comments about the Action

our school as we first identified them. This includes the activities, staffing,
resources,
budget, etc.
Continue to offer and train parents on Edusoft- that is straightforward. Any
suggestions?
The people who will affect the development of benchmark exams are ….
What about V&PA ? 06-07
Did we do benchmark exams in history?
Do we have any in history?
I think the way this is supposed to read is that K and 1 don’t test in them but we definitely need 12th grade to take the test. (task 2 timeline, 12th grade include social science in 05-06 fall)
Task number 3, increase parent and student awareness of acquisition of the standard – how about achievement. Could we say achieving proficiency in the standards? Or standards proficiency or the something else?
3a. what about the importance and value of Mastery of task description. Maybe we should say mastery of the standards.
4. Provide test sign ups for ES’s in December. Sign ups not hyphenated. Sign-ups seems to work fine too.
5. Provide more accommodating test sites. How about providing additional test sites.
6. We need to drop the
s off of test, cost of test site
Shouldn’t we put unknown or leave a question mark or TBA. Just put
unknown costs. OR As of this time undetermined.
Parent will sign letter of confirmation and
The parent will confirm in writing student participation and testing.
7 personal call to families who decline to test.
Review overall success of testing once completed.
Means to success: - note the total percentage of star participants
Review overall success. We are going to count them. Count total and divide
by total.
