Suggested Structure of Third Focus/Home Group Meeting
Please bring samples of your own students' work in the area of critical need suggested by your Focus/Home Group leader. If possible, bring samples of students working at or above grade level to balance the ones already gathered.

Today's Tasks from task 4 and task 5

  1. Re-examine the profile data(see links below) and the identified critical academic needs. What are the most important expected schoolwide learning results for all students based upon the student/community profile data?
  2. Select the expected schoolwide learning results that correlate with the critical academic needs.
  3. Gather and analyze student work and other evidence to evaluate achievement of the selected expected schoolwide learning results and targeted academic standards.

Discussion: How are the students doing in the area of critical need your group is reviewing? What evidence do we need to look at to determine how they are doing?

Examine Writing Samples or Math Samples

Ask for writers for the Self-Study Chapter 4 WASC Criteria Reports

Fill out meeting report and email back to self-study coordinator (gclark@connectingwaters.org) and school director (snelson@connectingwaters.org) within 5 working days. Report should have 1) Conclusions from discussions, 2) Problems or questions that came up around the accreditation process, 3) Suggestions to the leadership committee.

*These Edusoft reports are based on the CWCS student roster from 2002-2003, so the results listed for students listed at a particular grade level are for the test they took that year. i.e.11th grade results are for 11th graders. The default view uses the current year roster and so would show these same results under 12th grade.
