CWCS CD Wallet

This collection of CDs is an answer to several problems that occurred with computers owned and used by CWCS students and staff. Specifically, the problem of licensing and installing Microsoft Office on school computers and refreshing certain model computers purchased from Dell computer.

With the disks in the wallet, you will be able to install or re-install MS Office on any CWCS-owned computer. CWCS now licenses this software for all its computers. (Currently this must be done by us as the computers do not come pre-installed with Office)

You will be able to install or reinstall AVG (Virus and Malware protection) on any CWCS-owned computer. This virus protection software is required to be installed on any CWCS-owned computer. CWCS now licenses this software for all its computers.

You may also install the Firefox browser (freeware) on any computer as an alternative to Internet Explorer on any computer(freeware). Many IT professionals think that Firefox is less vulnerable to problems. This is optional software.

You may use the Install & Restore Disk for Optiplex 745 disk to refresh any Dell Optiplex 745 computer owned by CWCS. Please read the link before using! However, be warned, the use of this disk on these computers will erase all files on the computer. All information on the computer will be lost. It will put the computer back in it’s original configuration, ready for reuse by another student.

Please keep control of all these disks as they contain programs that are to be on CWCS computers only.
