REVISED 9/2007
CWCS INSTALL
AND RESTORE DISK INSTRUCTIONS FOR
DELL COMPUTERS
AND LAPTOPS
- Turn on the computer.
- A Dell logo screen will appear with two options in
the upper right-hand corner. When F2 = Setup, F12 =
Boot Menu appears in the upper-right corner of the screen, press
the F12 key. This happens quickly
so be prepared to press the F12 key once you see the Dell logo screen.

- Please note:
If you wait too long and the Windows logo appears, please shut down the
computer and try again.
- The Boot
Device Menu appears if selected properly, listing all available
boot devices similar to the picture below.

- Please
use your keyboard to navigate to the CD/DVD/CD-RW drive option and select with the Enter key.
- Once the option is selected the process is automated
and will not require user intervention.
Please do not interrupt the process once it has begun. The process lasts approximately 15-45
minutes.

- Once the process has completed the computer will
restart automatically and begin launching Windows.
- Please do not use this disk unless
needed for initial install, restore, or refresh purposes. All data will be lost once the process
begins.
- Please use this disk only for the
intended computer/laptop model. Using this disk on an unsupported computer
that it was not intended for will render that computer in an inoperable
and unbootable state. Any
pre-existing data will be lost.
